The mission of The Philadelphia Film Society is to utilize film's unique capacity to engage a broad cross-section of the community, while further providing access to powerful films from around the world in order to increase education and understanding.   PFS is proud to operate the PFS Roxy Theater on 20th and Sansom, the Center City's only independent and art house movie theater, and own and operate the historic Prince Theater on Broad and Chestnut.  PFS's marquee event is the annual Philadelphia Film Festival, an 11 day celebration of the best in independent and international film.
